The Church Whelk
When the cat's away the whelk clings to a rock. Not having any hands or feet, it waits till the vicar and bellringers have gone home. Then it likes nothing better than to carry on clinging to the rock.

Busy, busy
You know how it is. I haven't posted for a few days because I've been rushed off my... oh, I don't know. Whatever that thing is you get rushed off.

Building a Snow Whelk
Well I can't. I can't make a snow whelk. The snow melts when it hits the sea, and I don't have any hands.

Somebody say something?
Sometimes you reckon you hear somebody say something.
But then you remember we're all gastropods and what have you. So it must be your imagination.

Candlemas
They've been polishing up the Church ready for tomorrow. They're going to have a big day tomorrow. And then it all gets dull till Easter.
It's so much easier being a whelk. Every day's just the same. Eat a barnacle, sit in the water, watch the tide go in and out. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll go for a jog. Should I unexpectedly grow some legs.

Sharing the Peace with Barnacles
I did hear that the humans in the church have a "sharing of the peace" in their church. We tried it with the barnacles, but they got wise after we ate the first seven.

Epiphany
The humans have a sad look about them now, as they carry on whatever strange business they do. Some have started talking of "holidays", but with a far-away look on their faces.
It seems odd, as this place is somewhere people come for holidays - so you would think the people that live here are happy all the time. Instead, they just look sad and mumble about "Visa bills".
